What do YOU see?

Call it curiousity or a chance to get to know our readers better.

I'd like your comments on what these pictures say to you.

Are they one caption or the other, or both?
Missing Mommy
OR Missing Daddy

Support Our Troops
OR Support a Different Cause

At Home OR At War

Half Empty
OR Half Full

Homefront
OR Warfront

Here at AWN, we talk about how things are relative.

"It depends on your perspective" and "It depends what you're used to."
Well, I would like to know what do YOU see; what is your perspective?

So, don't worry so much about a right or wrong answer, or even giving an "answer,"
but I would love to read what these photos and captions brought to your mind today.

I'll give it a few days and sound off about what they mean to me.

Thinking about the picture: "Support Our Troops
OR Support a Different Cause". I have a magnet on my car that says "Support the Military Family" from MOAA. I remember when my husband was in Iraq and folks from back home would ask him what they could do to support *him* his answer was always: "Be there for Leanne and the boys". When he knew the family was being taken care of he felt better and was able to focus on his job at hand. I think that is an important message for anyone that wants to support our troops!

Yes, so often people say they don't know what to do or how to help. Often they just need to ask, but we also need to answer: mow my lawn, cook a dinner, take my kids, let me call you to chat, etc.

Alot of families (or spouses especially) say, "we're fine."
Or, "we don't need anything" but after 10 years, surely we need something. That "something" is different for everybody.

Which brings us back to the pictures. They mean something different to everybody. For us a ribbon is yellow, but we need to remember the pink ribbons, the jigsaw puzzle ribbons, pink/blue ribbons and more. We need support and we need to show and give support.
