Maybe I’m behind the times, but I just became wireless in my home with my newest Christmas gift of a Wireless Router! I feel liberated to surf, e-mail, research, etc… from all over the house now. This is what I’m wondering…. I decided to take the computer to bed with me…am I sick or what? I’m not kidding.
I put it on a large tray and then put the ac adapter in a pie plate because it seems to get warm and I didn’t want the bed to catch fire! I started thinking, is this normal or am I going off the deep end?
My thinking is I can check e-mails from hubby whenever I wake up (morning, middle of the night, late night) whenever my eyes open! I can surf, blog, connect to friends or whatever so much more now!!! I really like my new found connectivity, but looking at my computer sitting on a tray with the ac adapter sitting in a glass pie plate on hubby’s side of the bed has me wondering… Someone please tell me they do this too

How I waited for that little chime to tell me he was online or has sent an email.
We had some of the best conversations in those middle of the night rendezvous.
My sleep suffered as you can imagine though. I was never fully sleeping, so eventually (after the novelty wore off) we tried to make dates or I would only wait up Tuesdays and Fridays--things like that.
Balance is the key; I know you know what I mean. But yeah, wireless is awesome! We just got fiber optic wires run to the home and the connection is even better.

Are you kidding me, I've been doing that for the past 5 months! Oh, and God forbid my internet in down - Hell have no fury! It's like I almost do it instinctly - half awake, eyes blurry to check in the middle of the night for an email. Plus it makes a great nightlite. This is OUR kinda normal, military style!
I recently read somewhere that you have to be a little crazy to be a military wife. I am starting to belive this since I too sleep with the laptop next to the bed. :) There is nothing wrong with checking the mail in the middle of the night looking for that special message! (If that were the case the nut house would be full of us Army wives!)

LOL. I've never left my computer on all night but I do like to sit in bed with my laptop when it's late. I almost feel a little closer to my hubby when I do that, as strange as that may sound.
